Our Sadie Bug Turns One

And the birthday girl was all smiles.

Yes, it was Sadie's very own, but she didn't mind sharing.

This was my gift to Sadie - an heirloom dress for her to wear, keep, and then pass on to her very first daughter on her first birthday.

Sparklers, Pinwheels, and Whistling Petes

It's the evening of the 4th. We're plum tuckered out from our fabulous family fun at the Heber Valley Camp. It's just Jenni's little family and the two of us. We opt to celebrate simply with a few sparklers and such in front of the house. Payton is happier than can be... and so are we.

This nation will remain the land of the free 

only so long as it is
